you ditch your friend whose watching a movie at your house to go last minute to your niece’s kindergarten open house because her lame dumb parents have more “important” things to do and werent going to take her. 

My niece is like my little sister. She’s my little everything. 

She was soooo excited to show my sister and I all her work. I got to see everything. I got to see what shes been working on, I got to see her friends, she was showing off all her work that she was proud of, she gave us a tour of the classroom. I was INCREDIBLY proud to be her aunt. It was such a special moment that all of three of us shared. After we visited her classroom we went and bought jamba juice smoothies they were selling near the office and then we took her out to the big kid playground and ran around a bit. After that we took her to the book fair in the auditorium and bought her a book and pen. If i didnt have work, we would have stayed til it was over. I had so much fun with her and i dont know about you guys, but open house was always such a special day for me in elementary school. definitely one of the days i got MOST excited about. its the day you get to make your parents and family proud. and..although her parents werent there, shilah and I were. and I wouldnt have had it any other way..except if maybe my mom could have been there, she wasnt feeling well at all. so she had a good excuse.. haha

I love my maddie soooo much. 

This song always reminds me of like dusk..almost night..as a child. Kind of sad feeling cuz you know you had to go to bed soon.
